“But rains pour down upon us, storm clouds darken the skies and we get lost in the storm. Have you been there? Wandering in the darkness, crying out only to be greeted with utter silence?"

Reflection

Most of you have driven on an interstate, or at least a highway with the grooves on each side of the highway. They are there to help bring attention to someone if they are starting to swerve off the road.

Coming back from Little Rock Saturday, I saw because it had rained, each groove had water in it. Individually you wouldn't see much from them reflecting light. However when you blend it together like it would appear going 70mph, it begins to look like they are all together. All together, it appears to reflect a bigger picture.

All together, we as a church, as followers of Christ reflect to others who don't know Christ, who Christ was, is and will be. When I say church, I don't mean a building, I mean as people. Two people or a million, we together reflect what we are. No politics, No religion, no cliques, just be Christ-like.

If our souls are dried out and withered like the worm in the pic was becoming, we can't reflect Christ to others. Yet if we hide in the darkness where it's wet, mold will grow. Think about a piece of wood or something else porous that stays wet but also where it's almost always dark with no light on it. We are the same way. Mold in our souls will become hate, jealousy, anger, bitterness, and a whole other range of emotions and feelings.

At one time or another, we all fight it. We all have times where we have mold within us, it's always lurking. Yet if we bring it to light, it's easier to clean up.

So what are you going to reflect from the light given to you?

What was your storm and your rainbow today?
My storm: Having to do housework. ;)
My rainbow: Hearing my son giggle at me this morning.

Blessings!
